Experimental work has been conducted on industrialscale wet comminution devices and hydrocyclone classifiers to investigate the effects of slurry rheology on their performance. Grinding performance is shown to be influenced not only by the absolute value of apparent viscosity and an inferred yield stress, but also by the rheological type of the discharge slurry.
Parameter effects on wet ultrafine grinding of limestone, Wet ultrafine grinding of a limestone powder ( 100 μm) has been investigated in a stirred media mill with respect to the effect of slurry rheologyThe grinding results obtained by various parameters (ie, molecular weight of a dispersant, solids concentration, additive dosage, addition ...
Wet ultrafine grinding of a limestone material (< 100 ¦Ìm) has been investigated in a stirred media mill with respect to the effect of slurry rheology. The results obtained by varying operation parameters (, molecular weight of a dispersant, solid concentration, addition dosage, addition method and bead load) are evaluated in terms of energy efficiency and the fineness.
change the surface nature of particles in the ground slurry creating interrepulsive forces among particles [1926]. This study aims to investigate the effects of different dispersants, quantities of dispersants, and methods of introducing dispersants on slurry rheology control under wet ultrafine grinding conditions. Methods and Techniques

Slurry Rheology of Industrial Minerals and Its Effects on Wet ... productivity and throughput for wet ultrafine grinding. Aims and objectives Although many studies related to the slurry rheology in conventional tumbling ball
Abstract. In Northern Brazil, bauxite pulp is transported through pipelines to the plant where alumina is produced. In slurry transportation through pipelines, knowing the yield stress value is essential for the pumps and pipeline design. Yield stress is the minimum shear stress and corresponds to the first evidence of flow.
Ball Mill. Ball mill is the key equipment for grinding after the crushing process, which is widely used in the manufacture industries, such as cement, silicate, new building material, refractory material, fertilizer, ferrous metal, nonferrous metal and glass ceramics and can be used for the dry and wet grinding for all kinds of ores and other grindable materials.
Slurry rheology in wet ultrafine grinding of industrial minerals: a review more by francisco briones Wet ultrafine grinding has been increasingly used for production of ultrafine powders in various industries.
LHE wet ultrafine grinding machine is the newlydeveloped grinding equipment of our company. Designed with totallynew machine structure, optimized machinery size, uniquely designed machinery parts, and simplified production process, this wet ultrafine grinding machine has higher performance.
The use of Dispersant S40 can improve the slurry flowability by decreasing viscosity and eliminating Casson yield stress. It is therefore used as a grinding aid for the wet ultrafine grinding of limestone.

The rheology behavior of the slurry is essentially to be controlled in many industrial processes such as transportation of slurries, dewatering and wet grinding [2]. A number of theoretical and
The major challenge in fine and ultrafine grinding of minerals is to achieve the required product size at an affordable energy cost and high mill throughput. Fine and ultrafine grinding processes are defined in this paper as those producing milled products at 80% passing 20 microns and 7 microns, respectively.
The rheological behavior of limestone–water slurry samples was investigated for different volume concentrations, particle size distribution and slurry temperature. Experiments were conducted over a range of volumetric solids concentration (Q= ) in shear rate range of 1300 s 1 . The slurry showed Newtonian behavior up to a volumetric solids concentration of vol. %, beyond ...
Slurry rheology of limestone and its effects on wet ultra fine grinding. This thesis investigates rheology of limestone slurries and its effects on wet ultra fine grinding in order to reduce energy cost and increase the throughput and the product fineness.
